Frequently asked questions

What are the must-have accessories for wild swimming?

Must-have accessories for any wild swimmer are definitely a tow float, dry bag, changing robe and a changing mat - things you’ll actually use. These products help you stay visible, keep your kit dry and make changing much easier.

Do I need a tow float for wild swimming?

You don’t have to have a tow float for wild swimming, but you’ll likely want one. It boosts your visibility in the water, gives you somewhere to store valuables, and adds peace of mind.

If you are swimming in a body of water with other water sport users eg. boats, windsurfs, surfers, then a tow float is essential for visibility. Our tow floats have the added bonus of space for you to store valuables or perhaps nutrition for longer swims.

Are Wild Moose accessories suitable for cold water swimming?

Yes! Everything we make is designed and built for cold-water conditions. With quick-dry and insulating materials, our wild swimming accessories help you stay warm and comfortable before and after your swim.

How do I stay warm after wild swims?

Slip into a changing robe or poncho straight after your swim to dry off fast and warm up quickly. Pull on a core warmer, warm hat, and changing mitts to lock in heat and start warming up the moment you leave the water.

Can I use Wild Moose accessories every day?

Absolutely! Our gear is made for any adventure, from coastal walks to camping trips and everything in between. Whether it's keeping your brew warm in a Moose Flask or staying cosy and warm in one of our hats, our accessories are perfect for any adventure.
